Losing teeth is one of the most disheartening things that you will ever encounter in life. It not only hampers your facial features and smile but lowers your self-esteem as well. A smile plays an important factor in your social life, and one cannot afford to compromise with it. Your smile is directly related to your oral hygiene. The healthier your oral hygiene is, the attractive your smile will be. Now, if you are someone whose oral health is not in great condition and have lost teeth, then keep your worries aside. Because the development in the dental industry has come with new procedures through which you can replace the missing teeth.

There are two popular procedures through which you can get your missing tooth back; they are dentures and dental implants. There have been a lot of debates about the best procedures amongst the two. Let us look at some of the aspects in both the procedures and based on them you can choose the one which suits you the best.

Dental implants give a better aesthetic appeal and help more in the functionality of the mouth when compared to dentures because they are inserted into the jawbone, which gives a strong base on which the crown is placed. Dentures on the other side fall shorter in terms of the natural look. If you are someone who wants to replace the lost tooth with a replica, then dental implants are made for you.

However, when it comes to costing, dentures are economical and are totally affordable for anyone, unlike expensive implants. In dentures, drilling is not involved, and hence it is a non-invasive process, whereas dental implants require drilling of the jawbone to place the implant. If you don't want to undergo the drilling process, dentures are the best option.

No extra care is needed when you get dental implants as they are easy to care for, just like your regular teeth. In dentures, you might experience some difficulty initially, and you will encounter some problems when performing regular activities like chewing, speaking, and an increase in saliva secretion. We have been helping patients get their teeth back through both the procedures and are done by professionals who come with a plethora of experience.
